Focusing on real-benefits to professional security installers and onwards to their end-user customers, these enhancements are the first in an ongoing installer focussed programme designed to develop our wireless portfolio.
Increased wireless transmission range
We have extended the wireless transmission range of the Premier Elite 64-W and 64-W Live control panels, providing a PIR and contact sensor line of sight in excess of 1000 metres. For applications that require extra range, this can be extended even further by hopping from additional devices, ideal for large sites.
Micro deep base – Extending wireless performance
Did you know that materials such as metal can reduce radio signal strength by up to 80%. Following advanced testing we have identified by using a micro deep base for all installations will improve the device range, particuarly in applications where metal surfaces and materials are present.
This deep base is included with every product.
Further obstacles such as walls and ceilings made of differing materials can also impact the range and signal strength of a wireless device.
‘I’ve got the power’ – better battery performance
Following a firmware update, battery performance has been improved increasing product longevity ensuring the following devices operate to their full potential:
- Impaq SC-W
- Micro Contact
- Micro Shock
- Capture
Wireless device conditioning
Texecom test every wireless product at the point of manufacture; these tests ensure correct operation and current draw of the product. However not all component failures are detected during these tests.
To overcome this and ensure the Impaq SC-W and Capture detectors leave our facility and arrive onsite with the most robust testing and conditioning completed, we now subject these products to extremely high and low temperatures in an environmental chamber for 7 days to identify any component failures.

The Impaq SC-W is has been reinvigorated with professional security installers in mind!
With the goal of reducing installation time and potential faults professional security installers can be confident that they will spend less time on site installing and maintaining the enhanced Impaq SC-W and more time focusing on developing their business.
- Custom made PCB protector designed to prevent any damage to the PCB which may be caused during the installation process
- New battery terminals designed for easy removal and reinsertion of batteries, preventing tool damage
- Enhanced accessibility and ease of use ‘Learn’ button
- Simple and efficient installation with the friction fit captive screw retainer for installation in any orientation
Premier Elite Firmware – Improved performance
We are pleased to announce that the Premier Elite firmware has been enhanced when working in conjunction with our wireless range of products.
This upgrade accomodates for supervision faults and radio configuration fails allowing for a seamless operation and continued security for the end user. The radio configuration message has been replaced with ‘No response from XX’ (XX = zone number) allowing for easier identification of any issues.

Wireless expander radio jamming improvement
With complete compliance to the EN 50131-5-3 standard, Ricochet wireless technology will now report radio jamming incidents only when absolutely essential. This means that only genuine faults will be investigated, resulting in fewer service calls significantly saving both time and money, all while optimising engineer efficiency.
