Introducing the upgraded and enhanced SmartCom 4G Communicator, an advanced and easy-to-install security system communicator that seamlessly integrates with cloud technologies. This elevated version with its robust features and seamless compatibility with Premier Elite panels continues to stand out as an excellent choice for your security system needs.
The SmartCom 4G now benefits from improved communication across all 4G bands and as a result increases the number of applications it can be used in. Whether in rural or urban areas, the SmartCom 4G will select the right band for the application providing the ideal communicator, regardless of the location.
Signal sensitivity across all the main bands has also been improved increasing usable range from masts in some instances by up to 4 times.
Configuring the SmartCom 4G is now simpler with the addition of a new QR code. This improves installation time and removes the need to key-in passwords. Simply scan and configure in one easy step!
Note: Requires compatible device
Our all-new antenna guarantees a robust 4G signal, ensuring reliability in any environment where 4G signals are available.
The new antenna has been performance benchmarked against the existing antenna and other third party products and is shown to outperform signal quality on 4G networks.
The improved SmartCom 4G now also benefits from a new antenna which significantly improves signal across all bands. Professional security installers are now able to use SmartCom 4G in any environment where there is 2G, 3G or 4G coverage.
By developing the algorithm, the SmartCom 4G communicator is now more resilient than ever staying connected even in adverse conditions.
Through the introduction of a number of steps professional security installers can be assured that once installed, the SmartCom 4G will operate more effectively reducing the number of site call outs and freeing up time to focus on new business development and installations.
DP1, DP2 & DP3 standard
To provide further enhanced installer experience, ATP panel report which has previously been set as default on DP1, DP2 and DP3 has now been disabled. Further flexibility has also been added as professional security installers can now configure ATP & ATS fault notifications to the keypad themselves to suit the application requirement.
Dual path systems
Default ATP fault reporting on dual path systems has now been removed and ATP faults are now not reported to the ARC until it is required to do so to meet the grade providing improved accuracy and the removal of unnecessary ATP faults or action required by professional installers.
SmartCom sensitivity adjustments
Enhancing resilience and performance, the SmartCom sensitivity has been improved, leading to a reduction in retry attempts and consequently minimising ATP faults.
To improve the installation experience the 4G signal strength is now displayed on the local webpage ensuring you can quickly adjust antenna location for the best signal strength.
Following a software upgrade SmartCom now benefits from improved connections to Wi-Fi routers now enabling all bands significantly reducing the time spent trying to connect to the network during the installation process.
Network issues are no longer a problem with the introduction of an improved reconnection configuration, meaning the SmartCom will reconnect to the router quickly after any network downtime.
The External Antenna enables the installation of SmartCom 4G in areas where there is poor, or no 4G signal such as basements and highly rural areas.
The External Antenna can be located up to 10 metres away from the panel where an improved signal is available, while providing optimised conditions for multipath technology.
