As with all intrinsically safe devices they should be installed with a safety barrier such as a Shunt Diode or Galvanic isolator which safely separates the hazardous and safe area sections of the fire alarm system cabling. Existing barriers can be utilised, but we do also have appropriate options available for purchase alongside the Sonos IS range.
