The Impaq S series from Texecom set the standard for shock sensor performance. Independently certified to the latest shock sensor standard, EN50131-2-8 Grade 2, Impaq S devices offer class leading, and standards-exceeding, perimeter protection.

We are pleased to announce the following updates that will be available from January 2022:

Impaq S: now with normally closed wiring

The Impaq S shock sensor has been updated to include normally closed wiring for independent wiring of alarm and tamper. This works seamlessly with built-in EOL resistors allowing installers to use a single, independently certified, compliant Grade 2 device to any install.

Impaq S and Impaq SC PCB colours

To help installers differentiate between the Impaq S and SC models, upgraded Impaq SC units feature a blue PCB colour and the name of the product printed onto the PCB. This is a small change that will help installers save time on site establishing product types.

Identifying upgraded units

Texecom will be implementing these upgrades as a rolling change during January 2022. Upgraded units can be identified by the new PCBs and by the “New Wiring” symbol that has been added to the Impaq S product packaging.
