Veritas Panel User

Q) How do I change the user code?  

A) User code- PROG- (all LEDs on)- 60- new code- PROG- RESET
     Older versions of Veritas control panels: user code- 00 -(all LEDs on)- 01- new code -PROG RESET

Q) My panel won’t set? And my keypad unset LED keeps flashing?

A) This will depict a power problem i.e. battery fault. The battery should be replaced approximately every three years.

Q) Should I have my alarm maintained?

A) Yes an audible alarm system should be maintained by a qualified alarm engineer every 12 months and every 6 months for a monitored system.

Q) Can you advise who to contact to maintain my alarm?

A)We would recommend you contact a registered installer from one off the official governing body web sites as detailed below. You will be able to carry out a post code search for local companies.

Q) Why does it ask me for a fob to disarm the system? Can I turn it off?

A) This is on at default on the grade 3 panels. This is turned off in the setup users user locked by timer, take the C off.

Q) How can I turn the backlight down on the keypad?

A) Press and hold ‘YES’ (TICK Symbol on iconic keypad) and then use the up and down keys to adjust back light up and down.

Q) My panel is asking for an anti-code, where do I receive this from?

A) An anti-code reset should be given by the monitoring station/engineer. Texecom are not in a position give anti-code resets out!

Q) What does ATS Path fault mean?

A) ATS stands for Alarm Transmission Signal which is the path to the ARC.

Q) How do i change the time on my keypad?

A) Enter your customer code, press menu then yes, scroll down until the display shows `do you want to change the set time? Press yes, enter the new time followed by yes then reset.
